Engineered according to your requirements
Our domestic systems can be designed to cater for up to 16 people. For larger capacity see our commercial systems.
National and European Certification
The Aswaflow system has been awarded NSAI Agrément certification and is EN 12566-3 compliant.
Unbeatable Running Costs
Running costs can be as little as €50 per year, our system can run in economy mode and holiday mode to minimise operating costs.
Concrete Systems are more Cost Effective
Precast concrete tanks are easier to install than plastic as no concrete backfilling or foundations are required. Concrete tanks are superior in their strength and longevity with lifespan exceeding 50 years.
Site Adaptable
We have an excellent track record in providing workable solutions acceptable to Co. Councils for difficult sites, e.g. sites with a high water table, sites with bedrock or environmentally sensitive areas.
Designed to be low Profile
Molloy Precast concrete tanks are completely underground, the system equipment is silent in operation and releases no offensive odours.
Saftey Alarm and Control Panel
The Aswaflow control panel has an integrated audio visual alarm which will alert you of any malfunctions within the system.
System Performance
Effluent from our system meets EPA standards. Our system can readily deal with shock loads, does not require a grease trap, has a discharge pump included in the system which readily pumps to a raised percolation area.

How it works - Cheap Running Costs
The sewage treatment system is separated into two chambers. Raw sewage enters the first chamber where it is stored while treatment is undergone in the second chamber. The first chamber also prevents any large solids from entering the second chamber. Wastewater is treated in the second chamber prior to discharge into the percolation system. AswaFlow uses Sequence Batch Reactor technology to treat wastewater to the minimum standards set out by the EPA. An SBR system treats wastewater in a cycle of four phases namely FILL, REACT, SETTLE and DISCHARGE. The AswaFlow system repeats this cycle 3 times each day.
| Phase 1 - Fill | |||
Sewage is transferred from the first chamber into the second chamber via a siphon pipe primed by the sludge pump. If there is not enough wastewater available to be treated the Aswaflow system will enter an eco-mode in order to minimise energy consumption.

| Phase 2 - React | |||

The AswaFlow system uses bacteria already in the chamber to degrade the impurities within sewage. This is achieved by agitating the contents of the tank to mix the sewage with the existing contents of the chamber together. Oxygen is added using an aerator to allow this bacteria to thrive and efficiently remove the sewage’s impurities. To prevent excessive amounts of sludge building up in the second chamber a small portion of sludge is intermittently pumped back to the first chamber using the sludge pump. |
||
| Phase 3 - Settle | |||
The React Phase finishes after a set period of time, all equipment is then switched off allowing the sludge and bacteria within the tank to settle out. This produces a clarified volume of water on the top of the chamber.

| Phase 4 - Discharge to Precolation Area | |||

The clarified volume of water is discharged into the percolation system during this phase using the clear water pump. The volume of water discharged is equal to the volume added in the fill phase and is controlled by a float switch. |
